A few weeks ago I wrote about the free fence boards a friend of mine gave us because they were putting up a new fence. Well, my hubby used them up to make raised garden beds. But he also made me a couple of birdhouses and I just didn't want to leave them looking like they were made out of old fence boards so I changed the look of them a little. Here is what 1 of them looks like now. I dont think the birds will use them this year but I just like the look of it in the yard. I will post a picture later after I find the perfect spot for it.
The letters are from old scrabble games that I buy at the thrift shop. I could paint them on but I like the look of the letters. The little flowers are from Dollarama...my second favourite place to shop. I painted the leaves and branches and even painted flowers but covered them with the Dollarama flowers. Just a little more texture.
